Banana wars
Bananas in Poland now cost wholesale between 2.90 and 4.10 zł per kilogram.
Last week, the retailer did BOMI promotion on bananas imported from Ecuador Bonita, which can be purchased at a price 1.69 zł / kg.
Why do I write about bananas?
Because it is a price war with the freshest I've ever heard. And this one is going to be about the shaping of prices and pricing policy.
Bananas that were once a symbol of luxury, now became a mass commodity (commodity), where the only form of competition may be just the lowest price.
